Nothing Ever Happens (1933)

[Jack Bohn, Clarence Rock, Jane Gale, Curtis Karpe, Jeraldine Dvorak]

Short comedy. The terminally ill Mr. Waistline wants the best room in the hotel, so that he can enjoy himself while he still can. The Baron befriends him and graciously gives up his own room. Meanwhile, the great dancer, Madam, is despondent and does not want to perform. The Baron slips into her room to steal her pearls, but then tries to comfort her. Prizering is at the hotel with an attractive stenographer, hoping to close a big business deal. And yet there are still those who say that "nothing ever happens here."

At 16:55, the bartender juggles 3 wine bottles. His first 2 right hand throws were caught in his left hand as expected. But his next 7 right hand throws were caught by a dog, and then taken to continue juggling, making a very rare case of an animal contributing meaningfully in a real juggling pattern.

At 17:18 and 17:30, we can also see the bartender juggling the 3 wine bottles in the background, behind the line of chorus girls, but without the dog.
