L'inhumaine (1924)

[Jaque Catelain, Léonid Walter de Malte, Philippe Hériat, Fred Kellerman]

France. Alternate title: The Inhuman Woman. Claire Lescot is a famous first lady. All men want to be loved by her and among them is the young scientist Einar Norsen. When she mocks at him, he leaves her house with the declared intention to kill himself. But the story is much less important than the scenery. This movie was intended to be a manifesto of the modern decorative arts.

At 22:14, a foot juggler manipulates a barrel, seen on and off for nearly 5 minutes.
