Hollywood Varieties (1950)

[Paul Landres film; Robert Alda M.C.]

Entertainment trade-paper headlines report the resurgence of vaudeville as the new medium of television searches for new talent. At the Belasco Theatre in Los Angeles, master of ceremonies Robert Alda introduces the vaudeville performers while being frequently interrupted by several comedians.

At 0:02:36, we see a brief glimpse of the Johnson Brothers, Duke Johnson and Harry Johnson, juggling 3 clubs each, representing the ghosts of past great vaudeville performers.

At 1:00:08, the Johnson Brothers each juggle 3 clubs again in the grand finale.
