This is a new festival at a new venue but with a great pedigree. Organised by Tony Rooke and crew, who are also responsible for the highly successful and ever growing Tasmanian Circus Festival.

Don't be deceived by the name! This is the nearest you will get to a juggling festival in Australia. Last years festival in Tasmania featured Diabolo wkshps by Maike (Venus), hat manipulation by Dave Pickens (Just Dave), Double and group balances(Rock 'n'Roll Circus), Knife throwing with Potts, Lasso w/ Kim Kaos, Clowning w/ Tom Greder plus lots of passing, daily combat/gladiators, hula hoops, trapeze, knot tying, yo-yos, and too much more to mention.

But back to this years festival. Again the festival is in two parts. The first part runs from 29 April - 2 May. This is an intensive program of workshops and master classes restricted to 40 participants. Training opportunities available will cover a wide range of skills and will include workshops on physical theatre, aerial skills, clowning, juggling, aacrobatics and street theatre. National and International tutors will include Maike Aerden, David Sheridan, tom Grder, Antonella Casella, Sue Broadway and others.

This is a great opportunity to meet others, work on skills and enjoy the pleasures of this beautiful sub tropical island. Gatecrashers will be ejected until the public festival opens on May 3rd.
