Details
The Festival is in the basement of the student center. When you enter on to
the Campus of Carnegie Mellon from Forbes Ave., the new student center (still
under construction) will be on your left. The current student center will in
a small parking lot on the right.
Directions:
- Driving from the East:
- Take the Pennsylvania Tuenpike west to exit 6, Pittsburgh, Monroeville. Follow I-376 west to exit 9, Edgewood/Swissvale. Turn right onto Braddock Ave. (at the end of the ramp). Continue to Forbes Ave. intersection (Frick park will be on the left). Turn left onto Forbes and follow approximately three miles to campus passing through several small commercial areas along the way. Immediately after crossing the intersection of Forbes and Margret Morrison St. You have reached Carnegie Mellon.
- Driving from the West/North:
- Take the Pennsylvania Turnpike east to exit 3, Perry highway. Follow I-79 south to I-279 south (exit 21). Stay on I-279 south toward Pittsburgh. When you reach the Veterans Memorial Bridge, I-279 south runs into I-579 south. Stay on I-579 south, and follow the signs for the Crosstown Boulevard. Once on the Crosstown Boulevard, follow the signs for the Boulevard of the Allies, pay close attention for a small sign for Forbes Avenue on the right. It is very small and the turn is very sharp, so take it slowly. Stay in the right hand lanes, following forbes ave 1.3 miles through Oakland buisness District to campus. Immediately after crossing the the intersection of Forbes and Morewood Avenues you have reached Carnegie Mellon.
- Driving from the South:
- Take I-79 North to I279 north (Pittsburgh). Follow I-279 north through
the Fort Pitt Tunnel and onto the Fort Pitt Bridge. Once on the bridge, stay
in the far right lanes, and follow signs for I-376 east/Monroeville. Take
I-376 east to Exit 5, Forbes Avenue/Oakland. Stay in the right hand lanes,
following Forbes 1.3 miles to campus through the Oakland Business District.
Immediately after crossing thee intersection of Forbes and Morewood Avenues
you have reached Carnegie Mellon.
