Great workshops, wonderful people, beautiful weather (really !), great 
show. 

The site consisted of a main hall and three smaller rooms. The main 
hall had good lighting, but no windows, so by about 10:45 resembled a 
sweat box. Especially for those of us practising our 7 club passing :-(

A good mix of workshops, including balloon modelling (I finally tied 
down the motorcycle model I was after !), massage (I missed this one 
:-() and origami as well as the usual skill swap stuff.

Some silly games rounded off the convention, most of these were too 
skillful for many people, although Ken and Max livened the proceedings 
up somewhat. For instance, the club juggling endurance started with 8 
club passing !

The show in the evening was in a small theatre a short walk from the 
day's festivities. Very good acts, Pearse Halpenny did his usual 
routine to much applause, Ben Richter gave us his new routine; 
'Hooked', Stretch People were extremely funny, and the Patchwork Circus 
did a nice club swinging routine; 'TimePiece'. By the interval, things 
were running late and I got the distinct impression that The Gandini 
Project's routine (just Sean and Katy on this occasion) was cut short 
in mid-flow to make up for lost time. Dave Solo did a nice Diablo 
routine, Heir of Insanity did a wonderful (and dangerous!) 
acro-balance, and the show was topped of by Rodney and Jonathan, 
Gentlemen Jugglers. If you haven't seen this last act, you're missing a 
wonderful routine. Go and book to see them at once !

I had the impression that the lighting on the theatre stage was 
troublesome to the performers, as many of them committed errors you 
would not normally see from such practiced performers. They can't all 
have been having a bad night ! (there was no beer tent on site to blame 
either :-(( )

All in all, a great day and wonderful value for #9 (including the 
show). If you haven't been to a convention, get along at your next 
opportunity, you won't regret it !
