Emden has some Jubilees to celebrate this year (500 years city arm and do you remember 1595 Emdems revolution??? Yeah, great times!). All reasons for the First East Fresian Juggling Convnetion - and you're all invited.
Over the weekend, you'll be able to live and juggle around the open-air swimming pool Früchteburg or behind the Neues Theater. It's in the centre of the city, but has calm and natuaral surroundings.
You can sleep in your own tents, or in tents provided by the organisers. There is even parking if you want to sleep in your transport!
If the weather is bad there's a big hall, or the theatre to juggle in.
And, perhaps you'd better take you rubberboots and storm-clubs with you.
Gettong there: Emden is in the north-west of Germany (near the Netherlands), on the North-Sea shore.
Train:-
Take a train to Emden Hauptbahnhof, leave the station, in front you will find the police building, pass the police building on the left, direction channel, go left to the bridge, straight on till Steinweg, turn left, the next turn right, again right, to the open-air swimming-pool.
Car:-
Follow the A31 until its end, do NOT leave at EMD/Nord but take the left side, and cross the bridge. After the lights turn left at the crossing (30km/h area), follow the main road to the left, then to the right (for some time), turn left (very sharp left) cross the railway, turn right, the next one left, right again and you should be there.
Other Methods:-
Hitchhikers, Cyclists, Pedestrians: direction "Neues Theater", ask people, and follow the signs.
Basically, if you manage to get to Emden OK, then you should be able to ask where the convention is. Also, you can contact one of the organisers (details given below) for more information.
