Novice throwers Welcome, camping available.
This is your invitation to the main boomerang event in Britain. Everyone who is interested in the sport should consider attending, whether they are an experienced BBS member or a newcomer to the sport who has not attended an event before.
As usual, the kite society will be holding a major event at the same site, and a juggling expert will also be there to teach people who wish to try juggling, so there is something for everyone in what is sure to be a good weekend away.
On the boomerang side, all normal competitions will be run (subject to weather conditions) and prizes will be awarded. Events are likely to include Fast Catch, Trick Catch, Aussie Round, MTA, Long Distance, Endurance and Accuracy. Night throwing is usually done in the evenings. No experience necessary to compete, just bring along your best 'rangs or borrow one!
Competitions will start at 10.30am on Saturday and probably finish late afternoon on Sunday. You will need to register to compete (there will be a small fee to cover running costs). Registration will start at 9.30am on Saturday, although you can join in at any point and do not have to compete in every event.
For those of you wishing to stay over for both days, camping is allowed on the site, or a list of local B&B places is available on request. Breakfast will be available from 7am and will probably be served for as long as the demand is there. Details below.
If anyone is interested in providing a few interesting boomerangs to help mount a small display in the pavilion, could they please let Edward know. This has been suggested to help raise public awareness in boomerangs.
