The Haymarket is a renovated portion of downtown Lincoln that is home to many small shops and galleries along with some fine beverage establishments. The Haymarket Heydays is an annual festival in itself which draws thousands of folks for a three day party.
They're gonna close the streets and fill'm up with all sorts of vendors, street dances, live music, and our own Public show.
Schedule
Friday, June 16
- 4:00 - 9:00 pm: Open juggling in the Salvation Army loading bays in downtown Lincoln
- 9:00 - when-ever: Party (location to be announced the festival)
Saturday June 17
- 9:00 - 11:00: Pancake feed at Salvation Army.
- 11:00 - 7:00pm: Open Juggling (contests and workshops - workshops to include basic/advanced club passing, tops, diablos and more). A prop raffle will also be held, with prizes supplied by various generous prop makers/suppliers.
- 7:00 - 8:30: Public Show in the Haymarket. Your host - Toby Kidd - professional comedian currently touring the midwest. A $100 Peoples choice award be given out, so if you've got something to show, come on down.
- 8:30 - later: open juggling
- later - later still: Renegade Show at the Ramada Hotel, just up the block from our juggling space. Geeks, freaks, and off the wall acts are always welcome.
Sunday June 18
- 9:00 - till goodbye's: Outdoor brunch at the beatiful Sculpure Gardens on the campus of the National Champions - University of Nebraska, that is . It's just a couple blocks from our space too.
We have a block of rooms reserved for the festival at the Ramada Hotel (not the Inn). These rooms are going for $51/night and include parking. This would be perfect for the festival as you may park and walk the entire festival. The Ramada is 300 feet from the festival site.
