Average summer temp: 78 dg.
Golf, hiking, swimming, sailing, windsurfing, canoe-ing, biking, walking and skating on an 8.2-mile path, charter boats, horseback riding, water skiing, tennis, relaxing on the beach and watching sunsets.

Special guest: Avner the Eccentric
Patrick Gym is 22,000 sq. ft. and will be open 24 hours.
If you're coming over from the Antipodes, you may like to think about going to the European Juggling Convention in Germany first (it's the week before) - The huge distance from New Zealand to Burlington, and the airline pricing structure, means that the you can go to BOTH conventions for less than 10% more $ than Burlington alone (thanks to Julie 'daniell@blade.wcc.govt.nz' for this thought).

Camping
Several grounds in area. Closest is North Beach Campground- two miles from the University. It has tent and RV spots, swimming, camping, picniking and a playground 802/862-0942. More info on camping and a Vermont Guide call Burlington Convention Bureau 802/863-3489
Food
Meal plan begins with lunch on Tuesday 8/9, and goes through Sunday breakfast 8/14. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served in the dining room at the living/learning center. Veggie entrees available. If you are staying on-campus, the meal plan is mandatory. Mobile units sell food on campus (10-15 min. walk from gym). Also a dairy bar and fast food.
Transportation
Air, car, bus or ferry. Burlington International A/P is only a ten minute ride from the campus. City bus route goes from A/P to campus with no transfers. Taxi fare is between $5-$8 from A/P to campus. Ferries cross the lake between Vermont and northern New York State at three locations. EAGER TRAVEL is IJA official travel agency- guarantees the lowest rates. Fax reservation request to EAGER at 407/345-0926 with first and second choices for departure day and time, departure and destination cities, names in party and day and evening phone. You will be called back the day of your request, most likely in the evening. Or call EAGER at 800/848-4648.

The Art of Failure with Avner the Eccentric

Looking to the Future of Your Performing Opportunities
Must jugglers, like many professional athletes look at their major work occurring in their younger years Must they live in fear of the "new gunfighter syndrome," whereby faster, flashier, and funnier jugglers force them to retire? Join Benny Reehl, Sam Kilbourn and Avner the Eccentric on Friday, August 12th for a dialogue about what performance options jugglers can explore after their 40th birthday.

Champs
No Kappell. Modified Ordinal= 1st, 2nd, 3rd place with Gold, Silver, Bronze medals and CASH! Seniors/Teams/Juniors all on one night. Call the Championships Director Dan Holzman at 818/907-5655 if for no other reason than just to bug him.
